Another Cycle was sparked out of interest in craft, tradition, tools and waste materials within two local production companies. Málmsteypan Hella is a company that specializes in sand casted aluminium and Hampiðjan makes and repairs fishing nets for trawlers.

By integrating a small workstation from within Hampiðjan the discarded materials from the fishing net producer can be utilised to create new tools to be used in their own production process. An aluminium mould created by Málmsteypan Hella melts the discarded parts of the fishing nets from Hampiðjan into new net weaving needles. These tools take away the need to import needles from abroad by making use of the unused PE plastic nets that would otherwise end up in landfill.
